Eleven-year-old Genki is a video game expert that brings home the new Monster rancher 200X after winning a video game competition. Excited to try it out, Genki begins to build his first monster when he is suddenly sucked into the game!

After getting over his initial shock, he finds himself face to face with Holly and her companion Suezo -- who happens to be a giant eyeball-shaped monster. The trio make their way through the game land and generate a new companion for Genki named Mocchi. Together the group battle the evil Moo who has plans to corrupt Monster Rancher land by turning all the good monsters into his minions.

Can these unlikely heroes save Monster Rancher land? Or will they be turned to the dark side by Moo before they can defeat him?
